I came in about 30 minutes before closing and I ordered the sweet and spicy garlic fried chicken and japchae. I wanted the kimbap, but there weren't any left in the deli area so the person running the register was taking my order and asking me questions which I couldn't quite understand, when the male in the back (maybe the owner) said no since it was close to closing. I was disappointed, but decided to go forward with my purchases. The lady first rung up my order and it came out to $41, and I said that seems high. She couldn't speak English very well and seemed a bit flustered. She redid the calculation and it came out to $25 instead which was more like it. The chicken and japchae was good. I would come back again especially for the chicken and the kimbap. They ware located in a small strip mall with plenty of parking.
My go to for kimbap. It's super fresh and they will make some on the spot if they are running out. I didn't know they had garlic fried chicken. I'll have to try. The japchae and banchan are great too!
This is my go-to place to order jap chae (glass noodles) for holiday and other events. It's consistently good! Haven't tried other dishes, though.
I'm super happy that I stumbled upon this little gem in Torrance, CA. Basically it's a Korean catering company that has a store front where they have a variety of cold and hot prepared food, packaged, and ready to go. My two go to dishes is the fried chicken and the jap chae. The fried chicken is perfectly twice fried and has an amazing umami glaze with a hint of spice! Jap chae is a sweet potato starch glass noodle with fresh vegetables, stir fried in a aromatic garlic and sesame burst of flavor! If you haven't had a chance to try either of these two dishes ever, you are missing out! In my opinion their fried chicken is one of best in Southern California!
The side dishes are consistently good. I like coming here when I don't have the energy or I know everyone in the family wants a variety of korean sides dishes. It's perfect if you want a little bit of this and that. It's pricey but you know what you're getting; Reliable Korean side dishes and soup especially the ones you can't find at the market. Pickled cucumbers , moo gook, biji jiggae and dduk bokki are pretty good. Kimbap, fish patties and mook salad are my least favorites.
The first time I came here, the workers here were inattentive and not helpful. However, in the several times since, the owner has been extremely helpful and amazing. I do believe the ownership has changed and the current owners run an efficient, clean and nice little business with good variety. Their kimbap is solid and fresh. If the owner is present (which she's consistently been) she'll take the time to make some on the spot! They offer a good assortment of banchan as well as some meats and soups. The prices are reasonable and the food tastes great. Now with the current owners, the service is also amazing. Highly recommended.
